Medical Reserve Corps Program Deployment Process

1. AHC-Office of Emergency Response

  • Determines that MRC needs to be deployed
  • Receives approval from AHC leadership to initiate deployment
  • Notifies MRC Members (text, email, phone call)

2. Medical Reserve Corps Member

  • Receives notification of deployment
  • Determines interest and availability
  • Obtains approval/permission from instructor/supervisor for absence (coverage form to be completed)
  • Signs up for deployment via Shiftboard

3. U of M Medical Reserve Corps Program

  • Provides liability protections
  • Supports member while deployed
  • Provides training
